LinkedIn releases new toolbar
An article regarding LinkedIn discussed how they have updated their optional toolbar to make it more user friendly for those in the job market. This new toolbar is designed specifically for firefox and they have added new features to make it more appealing.
One interesting feature includes an alert when any of the contacts you or your network may have inside the company you are researching. There is also a quick search where you can look up people instantly from any website and a one-click access to LinkedIn.
Social Networking with Cell Phones
This article was about how cell phones can now allow you to be a part of more social networking.
GyPSii, a social network made specifically for mobile phones will offer a location-based search for people, places, and events. This “real time location-based element” adds a new twist to the term social networking. Your cell phone will be able to record where you are and what you are doing and make it available for those in your network. You will be able to receive maps and directions and find friends who are nearby and popular places to go.You can download this software for free at their website.

It talks about how the internet provides powerful tools and networking capabilities that can be useful to companies. They allow your company to make a presence online and to reach more potential customers, business partners and employees.
The sites are divided into a few different categories: Job sites, General Social Media sites, Niche Social Media sites, Professional Networking sites and Social Media/Social Bookmarking sites.
A few of the tops sites include: Reddit, Digg, Del.icio.us, LinkIn, Ecademy and Careerbuilder.com.
